Legend has it that the British Navy wove a red thread into every rope, so that what belonged to the Crown was always recognizable. Every human being has a red thread like that, one that ties you to your deepest, innermost self and connects you to your unique way of seeing the world. But your thread is easy to lose sight of, especially when you find yourself at a crossroads. When a relationship, career, or an identity you’ve defined yourself by comes to an end, whether you’ve chosen it or not, it can feel like the tide of momentum in your life has gone out. You’re left wondering who you are, perhaps even questioning whether you ever knew at all. In that not-knowing, it’s hard to tell what has fallen away from what is truly your own.
But no matter what has come to an end, nothing in your life ever truly disappears. It composts, the way a vulture turns what has died into something the land can use. Your red thread is what connects you to everything that ever was or has been, and it pulls you towards what you are becoming. It’s made up of the memories, dreams, places, and symbols that follow you throughout your life. The story you tell over and over again because something in your present life keeps triggering the memory of that moment. The dream that still feels as alive today as it did twenty years ago. The place that calls to you when you’re lost and alone, or beckons you when you know the path you’re on isn’t actually your own anymore or has simply come to an end. The symbol that shows up repeatedly in your life, like a guidepost telling you you’re on the right path.
Your red thread is yours and yours alone. No one else can tell you what’s woven into it or the meaning of it. The individual knots on your red thread are largely symbolic, though sometimes literal, which gives them infinite possibilities for how they can be interpreted and what they might mean. Their symbolic nature allows them to move through time with you, changing and morphing as needed, guiding you to where you belong. The work I do is to help you uncover the parts of your red thread that are speaking to you now so you can decide what they mean, where they’re leading you, and how to work with them in your life.

You’ve been carrying a story for a long time without telling it. Maybe it’s a memory that keeps surfacing, a dream you’ve never quite let go of, or a place you still think about. You may not know what it means, or if it means anything at all. But you’re looking for a new way forward in your life, and you’re curious and willing to explore different possibilities.
You’re at a turning point, big or small, creative or concrete. You might suspect that life has been trying to tell you something, to point you in a particular direction, and you want help seeing where that might lead.
You're working on a creative project and want your voice to come through clearly.
You've lost the thread of your own path, or you find yourself gripping tightly to something you're not even sure you want anymore.
What to expect:
During your session, you’ll share a story of a memory, dream, place or symbol with me, allowing yourself to hear your story out loud, perhaps for the very first time, and have it reflected back to you. I’ll listen for the repeating patterns and connections I see - this is my superpower - ask questions that go deeper, and help you begin to translate what your red thread has been saying. You decide how deep we go and what to share.
What you leave with:
You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what your red thread is, how it shows up in your life, and a way to recognize new elements of it as they begin to appear in your daily life. Note: Once you engage with your red thread, the ways it’s woven through your life will begin to become more apparent and abundant!
You’ll decide on one symbol that is asking to be engaged with more fully at this time, and I’ll suggest tangible ways for you to honor it through creative expression. *No artistic ability is needed. We are all creative beings, and our red thread is honored symbolically through creative acts.

One hour via Zoom - $500
Choose a time that works for you and confirm with payment. You’ll be asked a couple of questions before payment to help guide our session. You’ll then receive a Zoom link via email.
You’re welcome to record your session yourself. I don’t record or send replays.
My availability is Mon. through Thurs. 10am-4pm ET. If you’re somewhere those times don’t fit, reach out and we’ll figure something out.

I’m Siobhan - writer, artist, and translator of memories, dreams, places, and symbols. I’ve been an astrologer, yoga teacher, and dream guide for nearly 3 decades now and was once a boatbuilder. The work changed, and so did the places I lived, but one thread ran through all of it. That thread is what guides me, and what I return to when I’m lost. Now I help others find their red thread and make it real through creative practice in workshops, retreats, and private sessions.
My writing and artwork are a little irregular, mishappen, and often meandering. I love the wonk in a handwritten letter, the dented object, the messy coloring outside the lines. The work I do with clients is largely symbolic, intuitive, and creative, and it tends to show up in practical ways: the decision you keep going back and forth on, the project you’re struggling to find your voice in, or the path you’re not sure is yours to walk.
Sometimes we favor having someone else give us our answers. Other times, we just don’t know how to access the information we already own. My goal is to help you access what you’ve held all along.
